Kevin O'Brien is the rare coach who specializes in the 800m, widely considered the most complex race in track and field. A former 1:46 half-miler, he has spent 16 years studying and coaching the event at the collegiate level. His athletes have combined for 22 conference 800m titles and 6 NCAA qualifiers. His system addresses the unique physiological and tactical demands of the two-lap race.
